The killing of four service members in Afghanistan was the deadliest attack since May.
Four NATO troops were killed Saturday by a roadside bomb in eastern Afghanistan, the international coalition announced. It gave no further details about the deaths nor did it disclose the nationalities of the troops. NATO said two of its service members were killed on Friday in different insurgent attacks in southern Afghanistan where attacks have increased since the Taliban launched their spring offensive. The attack on Saturday is the deadliest one for NATO members since May 26, when nine U.S. troops were killed in three separate incidents. At least 200 NATO troops have died so far this year in Afghanistan.
