A website run by the tech company for contests related to its films has been breached as Sony's privacy headaches continue.
Hackers have targeted Sony once again, this time stealing the personal information of more than one million people who had signed up for contests through SonyPictures.com. The hacker group Lulz Security said it took users' “passwords, email addresses, home addresses, dates of birth, and all Sony opt-in data associated with their accounts” to show how insecure Sony's digital databank was. This is the fourth major data breach for Sony in recent weeks, after more than 100 million users' data were exposed by two hacks of Sony online gaming networks in April, followed by the breach of 2,000 Sony-Ericsson mobile-phone accounts last week.
