The Canucks are favoured to win but Boston's team is hoping to win their first Cup since 1972.
The Boston Bruins have advanced to the Stanley Cup finals where they will face the Vancouver Canucks after narrowly beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 1-0 last night in game seven of the Eastern Conference. This will be Boston's first Stanley Cup appearance since 1990. They haven't won the Cup since 1972. Though the Canucks are favoured to win the final, fans are hoping the Bruins will follow Chicago, last year's Cup winner and another Original Six team, and end the decades-long drought. The win is especially bittersweet for Bruin forward Milan Lucic, a Vancouver native.
