Anti-Israel Graffiti Targets Embassy in Ottawa

Two spray-painted messages now adorn the ground outside the downtown Ottawa building housing a number of embassies.

The building that houses the Israeli Embassy in Ottawa was defaced with graffiti on Tuesday night, the same day that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the U.S. Congress that Palestine would have to recognize Israel's right to exist in order for peace talks to resume. Two messages, one reading “Embasy (sic) of War Crimes,” and the other reading “Israel War Crimes," were spray-painted on the ground outside the downtown Ottawa office building, once again proving that vandals should probably bone up on their spelling before writing in something as permanent as spray paint. The Israeli Embassy is one of many diplomatic offices – such as those of the Bahamas, Ecuador, and New Zealand – located at the Sun Life Centre, just steps away from Parliament Hill.
