Soon video games, snow globes, and clothes could bear the name of the team that killed bin Laden. No word on a kids' film ... yet.
Walt Disney Co. filed an application to trademark the name “Seal Team 6” two days after the elite special forces group of the same name carried out the assassination of Osama bin Laden. Disney hasn't confirmed if that patent has been approved, but the application sought to have the name trademarked for all manner of kid-oriented products, including toys, video games, clothing, and Christmas stockings. To some, this hopefully points toward Disney producing an animated film about a ragtag commando group of wise-cracking anthropomorphic seals, but how the assassination of an international terrorist responsible for the murder of thousands can be spun into a children's story remains to be seen.
