A French writer has now filed a complaint against Dominique Strauss-Kahn, just days after a New York chambermaid did the same.
Dominique Strauss-Kahn, head of the International Monetary Fund, is facing a second allegation of sexual impropriety after a French writer filed a complaint with police saying the popular politician sexually assaulted her nine years ago. Tristane Banon says she had originally intended to pursue charges in 2002 following an alleged incident with Strauss-Kahn, but was dissuaded from doing so by her mother, a friend of Strauss-Kahn and a Socialist party member. That complaint follows charges laid against Strauss-Kahn in New York this past weekend alleging he sexually assaulted a chambermaid in his luxury hotel suite. Strauss-Kahn, who had been widely considered to be the Socialist party's best hope of unseating President Nicolas Sarkozy, will appear in court in New York today.
