NDP MP Admits She's Never Visited Her Riding

Controversial NDP MP Ellen Brosseau says she intends to visit her Quebec riding within the next several days and promises to brush up on her French, too.

In her first interview since election night, controversial NDP MP Ellen Brosseau admits she's never visited her Quebec riding. She tells Trois-Rivieres newspaper Le Nouvelliste that she's been a NDP supporter for years, so she agreed to run when the party asked her but she "didn't expect to win". Even though she noticed a surge for the NDP in Quebec, she didn't know that it would translate into votes, which possibly explains her jetting off to Las Vegas mid-campaign. Since the election results, she says she's been learning the ropes and that she does intend to visit her riding in Berthier-Maskinonge within the next several days.
