Rita Chretien is found alive after being stranded in Nevada for seven weeks, but the search for her missing husband continues.
Rita Chretien of Penticton, B.C. is "doing remarkably well" despite being stranded in Nevada for seven weeks. Chretien, 56, and her husband Albert, were on their way to a trade show in Las Vegas when their van got stuck in some mud in northeastern Nevada. They were last seen buying items at a gas station in Oregon on March 19. On March 22, Albert Chretien set out on foot with a GPS to get help. He hasn't been seen since. Hunters found Rita Chretien conscious and able to speak in her van on Friday afternoon. It's unclear how long Chretien will remain in hospital but doctors say they're optimistic about her condition. Meanwhile, the search for her husband continues in the area where the van was found.
