The academic-turned-politician will return to teach at the school that gave him his first degree.
Two days after resigning as leader of the Liberal party, Michael Ignatieff has accepted a position at the University of Toronto. Ignatieff said in his resignation speech that he looked forward to educating young Canadians, and will now get that opportunity at his alma mater. Ignatieff lectured on human rights at Harvard University before returning to Canada five years ago to join the Liberals. He will become senior resident of the university's vaunted Massey College, a graduate school, and will teach courses in law, public policy, political science, and international relations at the Munk School of Global Affairs.
