Corruption allegations against the ousted president of Egypt might have sent him to the hospital, but his countrymen are more than a little skeptical.

Hosni Mubarak, the former president of Egypt, and his two sons have been detained by investigators looking into allegations of severe corruption against the deposed leader and his family. Egypt's prosecutor's office announced via a Facebook post that the three were taken into custody shortly after the elder Mubarak was hospitalized for heart issues, although many of the people who had called for his ouster two months ago questioned the veracity of his illness and picketed outside the hospital. The Mubaraks are to spend 15 days under the watchful eye of prosecutors and police, perhaps giving them a taste of what life was like living under their regime.
