AG's draft report raises questions over $50 million in funds spent in industry minister's riding.

A draft report from Auditor General Sheila Fraser on last year's G8/G20 summits found the government misled Parliament over spending on some $50 million in projects in Industry Minister Tony Clement's riding. The report, which was to be tabled in Parliament on April 5 but was shelved by the federal election, was obtained by The Canadian Press and said 32 projects undertaken for the G8 in Clement's Ontario riding may have been funded through an illegal process. Bloc Québécois leader Gilles Duceppe has now asked for the full report to be released ahead of the English-language leaders' debate tomorrow.
