The average time we spend online is nearly double the worldwide average.
If you’re Canadian, you’ve probably already heard about this new report from comScore because it was released yesterday and you spend a lot of time on the internet. About 43.5 hours a month, in fact. That’s how much time the average Canadian spends online, nearly double the worldwide average of 23.1 hours. The average American spends 35.3 hours online a month, and the average Chinese person 13.5 hours. Data for the past 10 years has shown Canadians are prolific internet users, but comScore did find some interesting new trends. While Canadians 17-years-old and younger actually saw their internet usage decline, the number of net users aged 55 and older jumped 12 per cent since last year.
