Glenn Beck On Fox’s Chopping Block?

The network is reportedly considering dropping the polarizing host once his contract expires in December.

“Credible” and “Glenn Beck” are not words often heard in the same sentence, and the eroding believability of the conservative prophet of the perpetually imminent Apocalypse appears to be worrying the executives at Fox News. Anonymous sources at the network say their star host’s often oddball comments are damaging Fox’s credibility and that his contract might not be renewed at the end of the year. A precipitous drop in his ratings might also have something to do with it. While Beck still has a strong viewership base, there are concerns at Fox that his penchant for finding signs of liberal conspiracies everywhere makes for negative and unentertaining television, and he could soon be shown the door.
