The soon-to-be newlyweds will make their first official trip abroad in June.
Stephen Harper better break out the good silverware, because the prince and princess will be partying with the prime minister in Ottawa on Canada Day. Harper is expected to confirm Wednesday that Prince William and Kate Middleton will begin their Canadian visit in late June and stay until mid-July. The couple will complete a cross-country tour starting in Atlantic Canada and crossing to B.C., visiting the Arctic somewhere along the way. The sojourn will be the pair’s first official trip abroad after their April 29 wedding and represents a chance for Middleton to ease into royal life in a monarchy-friendly country. Support for the British royals remains high in Canada while other Commonwealth countries like Australia have recently considered severing ties with the Queen.
