Silvio Berlusconi to Stand Trial on Sex Charges

A judge has ordered the Italian premier be tried on charges of sleeping with an underage prostitute.

Could bunga bunga bring Berlusconi down? The 74-year-old three-time Italian premier is already being tried on several corruption charges, but for the first time he will now stand trial for his personal conduct. Judge Cristina Di Censo indicted Berlusconi on Tuesday for allegedly sleeping with a 17-year-old Moroccan prostitute and then using his influence to get her out of jail, setting a trial date for April 6. She agreed with prosecutors to fast-track the trial, using a special procedure that bypasses preliminary hearings and is only used in cases of overwhelming evidence. Berlusconi is unlikely to get any sympathy from the three judges hearing his case: all of them are women.
