Elizabeth May’s Office Destroyed By Runaway Truck

A vehicle crashed through the front window of the Green Party leader’s office late Saturday night.

Has Canadian attack politics reached a new low, or was it just a freak accident? Probably the latter. Details remain sketchy, but sometime late Saturday night, a truck drove into May’s Saanich, B.C. office, completely destroying it. Thankfully there were no serious injuries, and no one was believed to be inside at the time. The Greens recently invested in improving the building, painting it in party colours, and May said the incident could not have come at a worse time, as a federal election is widely believed to be imminent. The Green Party has another office in Saanich that it will probably run its operations out of for the foreseeable future.
