The perpetually embattled star could face up to six months in jail if found guilty of violating her parole.

The LAPD is investigating whether Lindsay Lohan pulled a Winona and stole something she could easily afford last month. The owner of a California jewelry store contacted police after seeing photographs online of Lohan wearing a $2,500 necklace that went missing from his store on Jan. 22. The police obtained a search warrant for her house but before they could execute it one of her staff returned the necklace, and Lohan claims it was lent to her and one of her representatives simply didn’t return it on time. A grand theft investigation is still open, and should Lohan be found guilty of theft it could mean some time in the slammer. She’s still on parole for several DUI convictions.
