Toronto Bus Driver Caught Texting While Driving

The Toronto Transit Commission has launched an internal investigation after a passenger photographed a driver texting while going 50 km/h.
Let’s hope it was an important message, because whatever this guy was saying via text may have cost him his job. A passenger snapped a picture of the texting TTC driver with his iPhone, and this morning the photo hit the front pages of the Toronto Sun. Reportedly the driver spent three minutes on his phone, frequently steering with his forearms so he could use his hands to text. In the photo, the bus’s speedometer is pointing straight up, indicating a speed of about 50 km/h. The TTC launched an aggressive public relations campaign last year to patch up relations with riders after an employee was photographed sleeping in a subway collection booth.
