Daughter Charged in Deadly Home Invasion

  • First Posted: Nov 24 2010 09:31 AM

Police say Jennifer Pan masterminded her mother’s murder and made it look like a random break-in.

On Nov. 8 three gunmen broke into a home in Markham, ON and killed Bich-Ha Pan, 53. They also seriously injured her husband Huei Hann Pan, 57 but left their daughter Jennifer unharmed. Police originally said the crime was a random break-in, but have now charged Jennifer Pan, 24, with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and the attempted murder of her father. Police did not provide a possible motive for the crime. Pan was arrested Monday night and appeared in court yesterday, where she was remanded to custody until Nov. 30. The three gunmen are still at large.
