Bieber Rules the American Music Awards

Bieber Fever continues unabated as the youngster takes home four awards.

At a ceremony in Los Angeles yesterday the 14-year-old sensation from Stratford, Ontario beat out Eminem, Ke$ha, Lady Gaga, and Katie Perry to become the youngest person ever to win the Artist of the Year award. Justin Bieber was also named the Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Favourite Pop/Rock Artist, and his album My World 2.0 took the Favourite Pop Album prize. The Beebs wasn’t the only Canadian to win an American Music Award. Michael Bublé, he of the smooth voice and inflated ego, was named Favourite Contemporary Adult Artist. Other winners included Rihanna who, clad in a bustier and her hair dyed red, was named Favourite Soul/R&B Female, and the Black Eyed Peas, who won Favourite Pop/Rock Band.
