Galloway Offers to Literally Fight Canada’s Immigration Minister

The former British MP and ex-boxer says he'd like to face off against Jason Kenney either by taking him to court or, failing that, by punching him.

Speaking in Montreal yesterday, George Galloway offered to go five rounds in the boxing ring with the immigration minister. The gadfly Briton is in Canada on a ten-city speaking tour that will take him to Kenney’s Calgary riding, where Galloway has said he will stand outside the minister’s office until he debates him over his attempts to bar Galloway from Canada in 2009. Kenney said Galloway should not be allowed to enter the country because he supported Hamas, which Ottawa calls a terrorist organization. Galloway, who called Canada an embassy for the “racist” Israeli state yesterday, has issued veiled threats against Kenney before, but has escalated his rhetoric ahead of his Calgary visit.
