Man boards Vancouver-bound flight in incredible disguise

Police are investigating after an Asian man in his 20s boarded a plane looking like an elderly white man.

The ‘before and after’ pictures of the man could not be more different. In one, he appears a twenty-something Asian man, in the other, an elderly man with wrinkled skin. On Oct. 29 the man boarded an Air Canada flight from Hong Kong to Vancouver in his disguise, but during the flight went to the washroom and removed the silicone mask, cardigan, and leather cap that he had used to fool airport authorities. He had apparently swapped boarding passes with a U.S. man born in 1955. It’s unclear exactly why he pulled the stunt, but once he reached Vancouver he was interrogated by custom officials and made a claim for refugee status.
