A poll has found that a shocking 92 per cent of American infants have some kind of internet presence.

It’s not news that babies are online. Some of them are even swearing and demanding Will Ferrell’s money. But according to a poll by internet security firm AVG, 92 per cent of American children under two years old already have a digital footprint. The poll surveyed mothers in 10 countries, and U.S. babies topped the list. Eighty-four per cent of Canadian babies are online. Only 33 per cent of American mothers say that they’ve posted pictures of their infants, meaning that relatives and friends are behind most of the images. AVG warned that personal information that often accompanies photos, like babies’ birth date and full name, could be used down the line by identity thieves.
