Evo Morales doesn’t approve of Daniel Gustavo Cartagena’s politics or his soccer skills.
In the world of politics there is playing dirty, and then there is playing very dirty. Bolivian President Evo Morales provided an example of the latter last week, when a team of government officials took on civil servants in a game of soccer to christen the capital city’s new stadium. It took just over five minutes for the game to turn ugly, when Morales was felled by a nasty tackle courtesy of Cartagena, a civil servant working for one of the president’s political opponents. Morales got up and delivered a swift knee below Cartagena’s belt. We haven’t seen anything like this since Winnipeg Mayor Sam Katz kicked a child in the face at a charity soccer game
