David Abitbol is being compared to the Dawson College shooter Kimveer Gill.

Police swarmed Abitbol’s home early Sunday morning after reports that he had made death threats against former teachers and classmates online. He has been charged with one count of uttering death threats and one count of improperly storing firearms. Abitbol is a member of a gun club and owns five guns. His Facebook page paints an ominous picture of the 28-year-old: his favourite quotation is “Death is the only solution” and he lists his interests as “GUNS!” That profile, as well as his self-described penchant for playing online war games, is drawing comparisons between him and Kimveer Gill. Gill also belonged to a gun club and played violent video games. He killed one person and shot 19 others at Dawson College in 2006.
