A massive U.S. study found that teens are twice as likely to use condoms as adults are.
The most comprehensive study of American sexual behaviour in nearly 20 years surveyed 5,867 people aged 14 to 94 and found that the majority of young people use condoms when having sex. Eighty per cent of males and 60 per cent of females aged 14 to 17 reported using a condom the last time they had sex, while less than half of older people said the same. The survey also found that men and women have differing perceptions of sexual experiences, which should surprise nobody. Eighty-five per cent of men said they believed their partner had achieved orgasm the last time they had sex, while only two-thirds of women said they had been satisfied by their last encounter.
