The drugs netted in an RCMP bust could inebriate the entire population of Canada.

Responding to a call about an abandoned shipping container in the LaSalle region of Montreal over the weekend, Mounties obtained a search warrant and discovered millions of dollars worth of hashish sitting unattended. Seven tonnes of the drugs, made from a resin derived from cannabis, were packed in bricks the size of laptop computers and wrapped in denim clothing. Police believe the stash originated in Pakistan, but no arrests have been made and police are asking the public for leads. Montreal is a hub of Canadian organized crime activity.
