Michael Jackson’s mother sues concert promoter

Katherine Jackson is blaming AEG Live for her son’s death.

A lawsuit filed yesterday in Los Angeles by Michael Jackson alleges that the promotion company that scheduled a series of comeback shows for the pop star pushed him too hard in the weeks before his death and failed to provide him with proper medical attention. Katherine Jackson says AEG Live forced her son to rehearse even though his health had deteriorated to the point where he was visibly disoriented and constantly cold. AEG Live was also responsible for placing Jackson under the care of Dr. Conrad Murray, who regularly administered Jackson with powerful anesthetics to help him sleep. Murray has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in Jackson’s death. Jackson died on June 25, 2009.
