Whether they were just that good, just that ubiquitous, or both, here are this summer's most memorable tunes.

It's that time again: the time writers keep saying, "It's that time again," and we start to reminisce about a time that is no longer. With that in mind, The Mark feat. YouTube brings you 10 songs that are sure to bring back memories of this summer.

How did we decide which 10 made the cut? Using the following scientific criteria: a) we liked them a lot, b) we heard them a lot, or c) both. So listen up:

Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg: California Gurls

Don't hate uh-usss – like it or not, California Gurls is unforgettable. And all these candy visuals! It's like candy for our eyes.

Lady Gaga feat. Beyonce: Telephone

It's Lady vs. Katy for video least related to lyrics.

Cee-lo feat. 50 Cent: F@!# You

Now with an official video! F@!# yeah.

Eminem feat. Rihanna: Love the Way You Lie

Glamorizing domestic violence, or representing it? Either way: Eminem's still got it.

Janelle Monáe feat. Big Boi: Tightrope

Apparently Barack Obama is a fan of Ms. Monáe. We wanna see him dance to this!

Jay-Z feat. Mr. Hudson: Young Forever

Also: this live version with Beyonce at Coachella is lovely.

Big Boi feat. T.I. & Khujo Goodie: Tangerine

Because shaking it like a Polaroid picture is sooo 2003.

Usher feat. will.i.am: OMG

Same vid Usher always makes; new catchy song.

Arcade Fire feat. ... no one?: Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountain)

Did they just say something about being pretentious? Anyway – good song, and it's CanCon too.

Lady Gaga: Alejandro

Why does Gaga get two mentions in our top 10? Because ... because ... Gaga.
